On the obverse coins of both types there are depicted: the small National Emblem of Ukraine, engraved the lyre between the Comedy and the Tragedy sculptors decorating the theatre interior, on the right there is the logotype of the NBU Mint and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА/2000/5/ГРИВЕНЬ

On the reverse of coins of both types there is a depiction of the theatre building and circular inscriptions: ЛЬВІВСЬКИЙ ТЕАТР ОПЕРИ ТА БАЛЕТУ (the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre) - above, and 100, РОКІВ (100/years) - below
