Obverse
Romania's Coat of Arms, the year of issue "2000" the inscription "ROMANIA" and the face value "5000 LEI" are engraved circularly; in the middle, a stylised cross containing old symbols of Christianity in Romania: fish-shaped earthen lamp and two plates, the first one containing the Latin inscription "EGO ZENOVIUS VOTUM POSUI" (it is me, Zenovius, that I donated this) and the second one bearing the monogram of Jesus; two groups of three stylised cross ornaments are engraved circularly.
Reverse
Our Saviour, Jesus Christ; the inscriptions "2000 DE ANI DE CRESTINISM" and "COMEMORAREA MILENIULUI" separated by two cross ornaments are engraved circularly.
