Sándor Weöres (1913-1989) one of the most individual authors of the modern Hungarian literature. Awarded by the Baumgarten Literary Prize (1936), by the Kossuth Prize (1970) and by the Austrian State Prize for European Literature (1974).
Generations raised up on his poems full of colours and melodies. Masterful translator from English, German, French, Russian, Chinese, Italian and Latin. The Magyar Nemzeti Bank commemorates his centennial birth anniversary with this silver masterpiece.
